Our hedgehogs have been very active recently and we see them most evenings foraging. They are taking advantage of the mild weather to feed well before hibernation.

Tŷ Mawr Caravan Park has been very popular with tents and tourers for over twenty five years. The level, sheltered, two acre field is regularly mowed and has electrical hook-ups and water supplies. 
We have twenty five pitches. Twelve have hook-ups, and the others accommodate a mix of touring vans, small motor homes and tents. We also offer some seasonal pitches and winter storage. The views of the Plynlimon Hills and across the River Dovey to Aberdovey and then North Wales are outstanding. Bluebells, Harebells and meadow plants cover two aspects of the field. The lower field, which is left for the cutting of organic hay, is scrutinised by Red Kites and Buzzards from above and is quartered by Swallows in the day and hunting Barn Owls at dusk. For the last two years we have watched Cuckoo chicks being raised by foster parents and Goldcrests feeding in the conifers. The down side is our toilet block, which is grim. There are no showers but, we have loos and loo paper, wash hand basins and dish washing sinks. However, the building is a thirty year old shabby prefab and is not the lovely modern facility that we would like. We have plans to build a new eco friendly block so watch Latest News .
