Tŷ Mawr Holiday Home Park is perfectly situated as a central base from which to access a fabulously varied range of attractions.

Hills, valleys and lakes surround us.  Cwm Clettwr is a fairy glen almost on our doorstep.  Mystical Nant y Moch is a few miles further and the walks of Plimlimon and on to Hafren Forest are many and varied.  Abergwesyn to Llyn Brianne is surely one of the last true wilderness areas of Wales and Strata Florida, Teifi Pools, and Llandewi Brefi are all names with which to conjure.

We have breathtaking Heritage Coast walks, dolphin and seal watching and National Trust properties.  Also to hand are National gardens and the Great Little Trains of Wales.  Nearby are an RSPB reserve, two red kite feeding stations and Borth's own Animalarium, a private collection of rescued exotic, endangered and rare animals.

Eleven miles to the north is the ancient market town of Machynlleth.  Parliment House is where the noble Prince and warrior Owain Glyndwr sat and held court.

Colourful events celebrating Welsh culture and history are held throughout the year.  There is a superb art gallery, lovely old shops, good food and a weekly market.

Eleven miles to the south is the "fair trade" town of Aberystwyth which boasts a diverse range of small shops from which you can find anything you may need. The town also has an industrial park, two small retail parks and there is a choice of supermarkets, including a Co-op, renowned for its ethical trading policies.

Aberystwyth has enjoyed links with tourism for hundreds of years, reaching it's height in the 1800's and now has an eclectic mix of architecture from Victorian to modern.  It is a lively university town with a truly cosmopolitan flavour.

The magnificent National Library of Wales sits on Penglais Hill overlooking the bay in which a modern marina has been built.  The Bandstand and the fascinating old Coliseum Museum entertain people as do the several very lively night clubs.

Other activities include:
Swimming in safe water, boat trips, fishing (river, lake and sea), water skiing, sailing and surfing (board, wind and kite), dolphin and seal watching.
Hill walking, bird watching, golf, pony trekking, mountain biking, quad biking, karting and paint balling.
Leisure centres (two with pools), Music, Arts, Theatre and Cinema.
